Experienced Worker
Practical Assessment Route
(EWPAR)
EWPAR is for people who have been working in their trade for at least five years
Assessment - looking at the way someone does their work
Instead of being assessed on site, you come to our centre at Thirsk
EWPAR only takes two days - one for discussion about how you work and one day of practical work
You will be given tasks to do which show how you normally work
You are told what these are before the assessment
The assessor will watch whilst you work
We also give you the chance to tell us about jobs you have done
Most people will get some Government Funding to pay all or part of the cost
We will help you with any paperwork if you want us to
At the end, you will get NVQ Level 2
NVQ = National Vocational Qualification - a standard all employers know about
