Bricklaying Courses
This course will take you from being a complete beginner to a competent bricklayer. Whether you want to change careers, develop your skills, or repeair or renovate your own house, you will obtain the bricklaying skills you need.
Objectives:
- Site preparation, planning and setting out,
- Use of tools, the importance of plumb, line and level.
- Mixing cement, laying and cutting bricks and blocks.
- Creating a Damp Proof Course and using wall ties
- Insulation and pointing
By the end of this five day course you will have built walls out of brick and block, a double skin garden wall and pillars.
You will also learn how to build around openings and will fit doors and windows.
The course covers all bricklaying techniques and is designed to give you a sound knowledge of brickwork for use at home or site. Dates
