Apprenticeships – Earn While You Learn at SuperSkills
Apprenticeships are work based training courses, which prepare you for a career in your chosen trade.
SuperSkills offers a broad range of Apprenticeship training programmes, during which you will come to the SuperSkills Centre to undertake part of the
construction course
, but for most of the time, you will be learning on the job.
You will:
- Get nationally recognised and highly respected qualifications
- Receive constant support and guidance from your course trainer
- Have your work assessed on site
- Gain the knowledge that underpins your skills – leading to your technical certificate
- Improve your Functional Skills as well as construction skills
- Have a good job, future prospects and, above all, money in your pocket!
There are three elements to an Apprenticeship:
- National Vocational Qualifications – NVQ’s – the evidence you can do the job
- Technical Certificates – where you learn the theory that supports your practical knowledge
- Functional Skills – continuing to improve your Maths, English and Technology skills
Your employer will:
- Release you for construction training and reinforce this with practical learning opportunities at work
- Pay you for your work
- Guide you and develop your effectiveness as an employee
