City & Guilds 6218 – Basic Skills In Construction – Bricklaying

City and Guilds” is something you will hear people talk about whenever you are seeking a job as a Bricklayer in construction.  For decades, this awarding body has been the leader in providing qualifications that give employers and homeowners confidence the person they are speaking to has the right skills to do the job.

SuperSkills Construction Training has always offered qualifications underpinned by the City & Guilds London Institute, and is now pleased to deliver the latest version of their Bricklaying qualifications, Basic Skills In Construction – Bricklaying (6218).

SuperSkills City and Guilds Bricklaying Course

City and Guilds Bricklaying Courses

You can gain this Bricklaying qualification over four weeks (20 days total) of training, which is best undertaken as four separate sessions of five days, so you can develop your Bricklaying skills further in the workplace between intensive training sessions.  However, you can also undertake this City and Guilds programme in one period if that is your choice.  More flexible arrangements may be available if you have particular personal circumstances that present challenges to attending for five days at a time.

Bricklaying Training In A Practical Setting

All of the training is delivered in a practical setting, working in full scale and using the tools that Bricklayers have available to them on site.  Our spacious workshop areas mean that you get the maximum benefit from your training, giving you skills that will promote your confidence and enable you to go into the construction trade ready to undertake any Bricklaying tasks that are presented to you.  This course includes units of qualification for both Brickwork and Blockwork and presents the most comprehensive training programme for the new entrant to the trade.

Set Up A Bricklaying Business

We also provide advice to you on how to set up your business as a Bricklayer, quoting for work, dealing with accounts and marketing your skills – don’t forget, we have over seven hundred successful construction entrepreneurs who now earn their living based on our training!

Following this course, you will be able to access unlimited support from the instructing staff and also progress in time to a full NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying.  Please also consider taking a Health & Safety Test whilst you are with us – the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card you will receive will be necessary on most building sites and required by many insurance companies.

Bricklaying Courses On “Pay As You Go”

As with all SuperSkills courses, we have an Easy Payment Scheme.  For this City & Guilds Bricklaying Course, you can pay for your training sessions as you take them and it is possible to spread the payments over a period of as long as twelve months if you need to.  Alternatively, if you want to spread the cost of any course, but do so in a manner that suits you individually, we do not surcharge for the use of a credit or debit card.

Bricklaying Training For Jobseekers

If you are claiming Jobseeker’s allowance, or some other benefits, SuperSkills will be able to arrange for your City and Guilds Bricklaying Training Course to be fully funded by the Government.  Please contact SuperSkills to see whether you are eligible for this funding.
