This course is designed for people who want to enter the trade with internationally recognised qualifications and you can progress to NVQ Level 2 over time. All the training is delivered in a practical setting and to exact standards. Our flexible approach will enable you to access the programme in a simple and convenient manner. -
£425 including VATFive Day Intensive Joinery Course
This course will take you from being a complete beginner or having rudimentary woodworking skills to being able to undertake the most complex tasks with ease. From marking, measuring and cutting to hanging doors and fixing architraves, you will learn how to construct a timber-framed room from start to finish. Along the way, you will learn about selecting the right timber for the job, which fixings to use and all the other skills to be an excellent joiner. Thousands of people have been working very successfully as Joiners without ever taking formal qualifications. However, as working in Construction becomes more regulated, they are not picking up work. For this reason, the Construction Awards Alliance has developed a special route to qualifications called "Experienced Worker Practical Assessment", which provides a Fast Track to your NVQ. -
