Experienced Worker Practical Assessment Route (EWPAR)
EWPAR is an assessment process for people who have considerable experience of working (full or part time) using the craft they want to have assessed. Please note – it is unlikely that you can be considered for this route if you do not have at least five years general experience in the trade.
It will only take two days, during which you will demonstrate your skills in a series of practical exercises. Employers and self-employed workers alike will see how cost-effective this approach can be.
If you are unsure whether or not you qualify for this route, contact us and we will advise you if you are eligible. If you employ construction workers (even one!) please contact us directly for further advice.
The first step we take will be to see if you or your employees are eligible for Government grant funding. This is a scheme that gives grants for construction workers to get formal qualifications in the crafts they are using. We deal direct with the Government and there is no additional paperwork required for you to complete to get grant funding
We then send you an induction pack. You will find it is very easy to complete and we will provide any assistance you need to get this done. The induction pack will tell you what tools you need to bring with you, what we will provide and the exercises you will be doing.
We will then meet with you, at the SuperSkills Centre to carry out the assessment. Between the exercises, you will discuss your experience and work you have done with the assessor, who will lead you every step of the way.
We pride ourselves on a personal, speedy and easy process that makes getting your qualification as simple as possible.
