Accommodation In Thirsk

SuperSkills has been in operation for over eleven years and thousands of people have come from all over the country to take advantage of the training on offer.

During that time, we have referred our clients to one of the many excellent Bed & Breakfast places to be found nearby, because most people need accommodation in Thirsk.

Every client will receive a list of accommodation in Thirsk when they confirm their attendance on a training course, but here are some examples for you to see now.

Please Note – Thirsk is a popular place to stay all year round and especially on race weekends.  We strongly advise you to book accommodation in advance.  If you use an “App” for Travel Lodge, Hilton Hotels, etc, you will find you have some distance to travel from your accommodation to the Training Centre.  Whilst there is a Premier Inn locally, you will find the Bed & Breakfast establishments below are cheaper (as in “half the price” cheaper at weekends!).  All the places we list have received good reviews from our clients.

The closest establishments providing accommodation are Laburnum House and Long Acre.  These are situated in Topcliffe Road and are literally a couple of minutes away by car.  They are also just a few minutes walk from Thirsk Town Centre.  Click on the names to open their websites in a new window.

Owned by “Yorkshire Lass” Val, Laburnum House is a spacious B&B with contemporary furnishings and it overlooks the nearby Hambleton Hills.  Val has lived in the area for over 55 years and has excellent local knowledge.  We know that all the clients we have sent to Val’s place have been entirely satisfied with the service they receive – which no doubt contributed to her getting a Trip Advisor “Certificate of Excellence” for the last two years!  You can contact Val on 01845 524120 – 07912 432089,  Email or send a Booking Request

B&B with a difference when you stay here – not only does Rose provide all the attractions of a family home, but it is also a smallholding set in two acres, keeping old breeds of poultry, rescue owls and birds of prey!  Breakfast will include her own free range eggs (ever had a duck or goose egg for breakfast?) and again we have had  nothing but happy clients when they stay with Rose.  Call 01845 522360 – 07749 845979 or fill in a booking form

Prices for accommodation in Thirsk vary according to the time of year, because the town is set in such beautiful countryside.  However, you can expect to get a very reasonable price and usually this will start at about £35 – £40.  Obviously, the accommodations shown here are a small sample of what is on offer and more can be found at the Thirsk Tourist Information Centre’s website.  Run entirely by an excellent team of local volunteers, Thirsk Tourist Information Centre is open Monday to Saturday from 10am all through the year and can be contacted by telephoning 01845 522755 or Email.  The information Centre can also help when there is a race meeting on, or the town is very busy during the high season – they may well know of accommodation vacancies that you haven’t been able to find elsewhere.
