SuperSkills Building Maintenance NVQ Courses are delivered using the On Site Assessment and Training (OSAT) route. See details here. The programme will usually take about three months and all the training will be take place in the workplace.
The qualification covers a wide range of skills and trades. It has three parts, the Mandatory Units and two groups of Optional Units. Candidates have to select Units from all three groups.
The Mandatory Units cover Health, Safety & Welfare; Customer Service; Working Practices and the Management and Storage of Resources.
The Optional Group A relates to Access Equipment, Site Clearance and the Installation and Removal of Safety and Protective Equipment.
Optional Group B covers a wide range of trades and it is designed to enable anyone who undertakes multiple tasks within their work to gain their Building Maintenance NVQ.
