This highly intensive, short Bricklaying Course is ideal for the vast majority of our clients who have never laid a brick in their lives, but who want to learn how to undertake bricklaying. They want to learn to be a Bricklayer or want a short course that will give them basic Bricklaying skills. After this five day Bricklaying training course, they graduate knowing how to select the right materials; set out for the structure they will build; erect walls so they are level and plumb and create openings for windows and doors. They will be able to undertake DIY Bricklaying tasks with ease, or get enough information to decide whether to start a Bricklaying Career. Whether you want to learn to be a Bricklayer, build a garage, a conservatory, or a two-storey extension – attending this course will give you the Bricklaying skills to do it! Thousands of people have been working very successfully as Bricklayers without ever taking formal qualifications. They have never needed the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Blue "Skilled Worker" Card However, as working in Construction becomes more regulated, they are not picking up work. For this reason, the Construction Awards Alliance has developed a special route to qualifications called "Experienced Worker Practical Assessment", which provides a Fast Track to your NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying and getting your Blue CSCS Card. -
