SuperSkills Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Training covers all the issues you need to know when dealing with hazardous substances at work.
The use of or exposure to chemicals or other hazardous materials is tightly regulated and all workers have legal responsibilities to use and dispose of them in accordance to these requirements.
Being aware of the products that are likely to be dangerous to individuals or the environment and the risks associated with them gives workers and supervisors the information they need to work safely.
This course covers what you need to know about the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health
(COSHH) Regulations 2002. It is aimed at anyone who is exposed to Substances Hazardous to Health at work, as well as line managers with responsibility for such people.
In legal terms, substances hazardous to health are classified as “very toxic, toxic, harmful, corrosive or irritant” under the Classification, Labelling and Packaging Regulation (CLP).
Whilst the CLP Regulations were initially adopted under European Union Law, they have been retained post Brexit and are still applicable throughout the United Kingdom in an amended format.
The regulations apply to all workers and others who have responsibility for the use of hazardous substances..
Being trained in COSHH doesn’t only have benefits in the workplace – it is learning that will keep you and your family safe at home as well!
Knowing what to do in order to store, use and dispose of hazardous chemicals and other materials – and what to do in the event of an accidental spill or other mishap will keep people and the environment safe from harm
